Yet another HoM thread
I don't know if this has already suggested but i've been looking at my monk for a while, i think i'll miss his 1.5k kurz armor once GW 2 comes out soooo i've been thinking if it's possible that anet makes like mannequin things that looks like our chars and we can give them 1.5k armor to wear --- it would just be for show with no benefits or anything and we would have to actually lose the armor when we put it on the mannequin
sooo yea my grammar sucks so heres like a summary
- new addition to HoM with statues
- they can wear 1.5k armor but we lose them from our inventory
- no benefits for putting the armor on
- it will last in GW2 and we can look at the armor
comments?????

1) The point is that they are Elite Armor.
2) Its 1k not 1.5k, it use to be 1.5k in some places and lower in others, but it was reduced/increased to 1k.
3)Nothing actually "lasts" to GW2, as far as we know, all we know is that we will get some "benefits" from putting stuff in our HoM.
4) Not against putting regular armor in the HoM, but even with the no benefits, it reduces the worth of Elite Armor with the HoM.

HoM: they're working on it. And i'm sure whatever they come up with will be just fine
remember: while they plan GW2, its not what you want. It's what the masses want. this includes people who have never played GW1 before. Intention is to sell as many copies as possible. they dont want people feeling left out in a new game because older people have an advantage. Therefore; everything you did in GW1 has no advantage in GW2 (as far as i understand it)
I suspect whatever you earned in GW1 will be cool in GW2 for a few weeks, but it's novelty will soon wear off as people persue things in GW2
Likely scenario: most suggestions from GW1 players on HoM are read, noted, and equally ignored.

The idea of it being Elite armor is just that, it's Elite, so it's special.
I'm all for mounting armor in the HoM if you can actually store it there though.

I hope they let us keep the hom in gw2. Like after you play your tutorial for new characters you find the ruins of this hall, and go in and it's your hom with your armor and weapons and stuff. And you can take the weapons and armor and minis and so on to use on your characters in gw2. Not sure how they'd transfer the titles and heros, but it would be cool to keep so you could visit it and see your gw1 accomplishments immortalized.

they already stated that HoM would not transfer items over, just accomplishments/unlocks. Basicly no one is going to start GW2 with "better" equipment, just unique skins/titles/minis.

i still call it 1.5k armor. i refuse to call any of the max armor sets from proph and factions 1k armor sets. so, in conclusion, it's "correct" oldschool term is and will forever be called 1.5k armor (especially if it's what people paid for it when they got it).
